Mobile Health and

Adaptive Interventions Lab

Co-Directors: Dr. Ewa Czyz & Dr. Adam Horwitz

Welcome to the Mobile Health and Adaptive Interventions Lab (mHail) at University of Michigan Medicine!

Dr. Czyz and Dr. Horwitz began working together as graduate students in the Youth Depression and Suicide Prevention (YDSP) program and share a passion for suicide prevention research. mHail was formed as a branch of the YDSP program specializing in the application of mobile technologies (e.g., mobile assessment via EMAs, wearable sensors, passive sensing) and development of adaptive interventions (e.g., Micro-randomized trials (MRTs), Sequential Multiple Random Assignment Trials (SMARTs), and Just-in-Time Adaptive Interventions (JITAIs)) to reduce the negative impact of suicidal thoughts and behaviors for individuals, families, and communities.

Our mHail Website contains information about our Research, Publications, Lab Members, & Latest Announcements. Please Contact Us if you would like to volunteer or find out more about our work!
